To go from Open Water or which ever certification you currently are to PADI OWSI (Open Water Scuba Instructor) or DM (Divemaster) does indeed mean a lot of diving, dive study, skill training, knowledge work groups, exams, running of a dive boat, assisting with instructor certifications, more study, hardy swim tests, lectures, leading dives, equipment maintenance, more diving and a lot more study - Phew! ... but who says that it cannot be exciting, educational AND fun?
