Why PADI Deep Diver? The Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime - going deep to see thing others can only dream about. Diving deep for the sake of it is not fun but this will open your world to new and exciting dives such as on ship wrecks, holes and deeper reefs. There are certain dives that cannot be dived unless you possess the minimum of an Advanced certification such as the Hardeep shipwreck here in Samesan, Pattaya, Thailand. with the PADI deep diver certification this will not only give you the additional skills to dive deeper but provide you with the additional dive safe confidence that is necessary. (It's really worth having the skills to dive the wonderful ship- wrecks that we have here in Pattaya. The Kram (approx 28 meters) and the Hardeep (approx 28 meters) are both wonderful dives not only for the shipwrecks but the marine life on them also. What do I need to start?
What will I do?
How long will it take?
What will I need? Your PADI Deep Diver instructor will take you through the academics of the course. Self study from the book is required and there is a test/exam to take. To be honest the course content is very much common sense but it certainly heightens your awareness to the potential hazards of deep scuba diving and how to easily avoid these.
Where can I go from here? You can count the Deep Adventure Dive from your Adventures In Diving program as the first dive of the Specialty course at instructor discretion. This Specialty course certification also counts as one of five Specialty certifications required for Master Scuba Diver certification. For PADI Dive Instructors: Mermaids have witnessed that the dive industry prefers to take dive instructors on for scuba employment from the MSDT level and higher. Although it is possible to achieve scuba jobs directly from an IDC (Instructor Development Course), dive employers are more likely to offer a dive position to a diver that has more experience. The MSDT scuba diving rating displays that the dive instructor has good experience teaching diving. The MSDT internship with PADI specialty diver courses can assist in your scuba career. |
