PADI Divemaster Internship Program

The PADI Dive Master diver level is the first professional diver level on the PADI ladder. At the Divemaster certification the diver has trained through recreational dive courses of Open Water, PADI Advanced and Rescue Diver. Rescue skills feature heavily in the Divemaster program.

Dive Master interns learn to scuba dive and become a PADI professional Divemaster within our intensive 3 month diving internship program. Total immersion in the diving allows for very thorough training with plenty of time to work on all areas that require attention. All skills and knowledge and impressed many times ensuring that a very solid foundation of knowledge is set. Once the diver is qualified as a divemaster the diver shall be eligible to assist dive instructors with student training, conduct open ocean dive tours for certified divers and assist with the day to day operation of a functional dive shop. This is the first professional "internationally recognized" professional diver rating on the PADI ladder but can be used as a passport to diving work in most countries world wide.

PADI Dive masters enjoy membership to the PADI Network and professional status. Benefits such as access to the dive pro-area on PADI.com, dive jobs, international diving discounts and regular diver updates are made through the Undersea Journal issued by PADI quarterly.

The Mermaids 'Diving Life' Divemaster Internship offers much experience and skills required to be a very professional dive employee. All of the basic recreational courses are given from PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver. Additionally 5 PADI Specialty diver courses, EFR-Instructor, DAN O2 and the PADI Full-Face Mask Diver Course. With all skills, knowledge and the 'tools of the trade' (Manuals and equipment) you shall be set for an entry level dive job.
