Mermaids dive center Thailand wish for our divers to have all of the essential basic skills solid. Navigation underwater is key to enjoying a dive. Why PADI Underwater Navigator? When you're underwater, knowing where you are and where you're going comes in handy, especially if you're looking for that beautiful coral reef that you've heard all about. The PADI Underwater Navigation Diver course will help you become a pro at finding your way underwater. There is nothing more embarrassing than leading a dive and getting lost, maybe not finding the reef or the ship wreck :-) Coming up at the wrong boat at the end of a dive is a little embarrassing ... let's get you trained in under water navigation! What do I need to start learning?
What will I do? During your PADI Underwater Navigator diver course, you'll learn under-water navigation dive procedures, techniques, dive planning, organization and potential problems. You'll also be introduced to natural navigation, underwater patterns (using coral (substrates), sand and current patterns as navigation), distance estimation and further your compass navigation skills. You'll put these into practice during your three open water dives. How long will it take?
What will I need?
Where can I go from here? Your Adventures In Diving Navigation Adventure Dive may count toward your Specialty course at instructor discretion. This dive specialty also counts toward your Master Scuba Diver certification. For PADI Dive Instructors: Mermaids have witnessed that the dive industry prefers to take dive instructors on for dive employment from the MSDT level and higher. Although it is possible to achieve dive jobs directly from an IDC (Instructor Development Course), dive employers are more likely to offer a dive position to a diver that has more experience. The MSDT scuba diving rating displays that the dive instructor has good experience teaching diving. The MSDT internship with PADI specialty diver courses can assist in your dive career. |
